After climbing the trail to the waterfall, I wondered if the water was cold. I just couldn't go home without touching it.
It was so close. All I needed to do was step off the trail.
I knew I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't try. It's that same feeling when the perfect comeback hits you hours after the conversation is over.
"Damn, I would've nailed it if I'd said THAT."
I didn’t have much time.
The next bus was just minutes away (and God knows if there would be another one). But that wasn’t enough to stop me. The stakes were just too damn high.
So, I stepped off the path. Everyone's eyes seemed glued to my back. "What is that idiot doing?" they thought as I moved toward the riverbank.
But they didn't get to feel the triumph—the icy water rushing through my fingers.
The best moments come from taking risks.
It's these moments that make you feel truly alive.
A small step off the beaten path.
Saying something slightly edgy.
Climbing to the edge of a cliff to see what no one else could.
The world has a habit of adapting to the unreasonable man. And true change defies all reason.
Which trail are you stepping off this week?
